Professional Experience

Stephen is the senior partner in Fisher Jeffries Property and Development Group. He is one of South Australia's most experienced commercial property practitioners with over 20 years experience handling complex property and development work on landmark South Australian projects. Stephen is also an experienced wine lawyer. In this regard he specialises in contract and intellectual property issues (including brand protection and the sale and acquisition of intellectual property).

Stephen is a past Vice-President of the South Australian Division of the Property Council of Australia and has lectured in a number of areas of commercial law at South Australian Universities.

Major Assignments

  • Acting for Caversham Properties in relation to a $600 million commercial development.
  • Acting for Great Southern Plantations, a major investment manager in the agribusiness sector, in relation to the acquisition and development of extensive forestry, olive and vineyard assets
  • Acting for the Boundary Bend Group, Australia's largest olive grove manager and olive oil exporter, in relation to its management, processing and distribution arrangements
  • Conducting extensive real property due diligence investigations for Singapore Power International in relation to the sale of Electranet.
  • Representing Yalumba in the sale of the "Cockatoo Ridge" brand.
